Karnataka Minister Files Defamation Case Against Journalist Arnab Goswami, Times Now

Bengaluru: Bengaluru Urban Development Minister KJ George has registered defamation case against Times Now television channel and senior journalist Arnab Goswami at 10th ACMM court here in the state capital. The court reviewed the plea and adjourned its hearing for August 19, 2017.
The TV channel and its former chief editor Arnab Goswami spread wrong news in March, 2015 and said, then Karnataka Home Minister KJ George indirectly responsible for the mysterious death of IAS officer DK Ravi in 2015, stated advocate, Ajeshkumar Shankar who represented KJ George in the court.
Minister in his statement to the court said, the TV channel telecast 46 wrong statements against him on March 17 and 23, 2015 inconnection with the death of DK Ravi which defamed him before the public. Arnab Gowswami left Times Now in 2016 and at present he runs his own private TV channel.
