Bengaluru Police Seize Banned Currency Notes Worth Rs 5 Cr; Arrest Three

Bengaluru: Mahalakshmi layout police in Bengaluru have seized bundles of banned currency notes worth Rs 5 crore in the denomination Rs 1000 in an operation on Sunday. The police have also seized a car and arrested three, Kalingappa, Mohammed Asla and Manjunath inconnection with the seizure. The source of the currency notes seized and motive of the three arrested is yet to known.
The police on a tip-off carried a search h operation and found three accused with the bundles of banned currency notes in the state capital. The police registered case on the incident and investigation is in progress.
