1 killed, eight students injured as bus turns turtle

Shimla: Helper of a bus died and eight children injured today when the vehicle carrying 40 students of Sarvoday Vidyalaya, Delhi turned turtle at Koti near Parwanoo on Shimla-Kalka National highway, 80 Km from here.

The bus, carrying the children in the age group of 8 to 15 years, was on way to Shimla when the accident took place, police said.

The traffic on the highway remained suspended for about an hour and the injured children were discharged after treatment at a hospital at Parwanoo.

Police are investigating the cause of accident and a case has been registered. The body has been sent for post mortem.
