13-year-old suffering from brain tumor dies in community school

Bengaluru: A fifth standard student at the community school died of brain tumor here on June 7.
The deceased Vyshali (13) daughter of Suguna, a flower seller in Madiwala.
The episode happened on Thursday when Vyshali’s friends saw her lying still on her bunker bed with foam coming from her mouth. On the previous day, she had complained of severe head ache to her friends and went to bed around 2 am. She had complained about headache over a long of time and was even taking treatment for her disease.
She was taken immediately to a nearby hospital however the doctors declared her brought dead. The body was sent to Oxford Medical College hospital for autopsy.
Superintendent of Police, Anekal, Bengaluru rural, Bheemashankar Guled stated, “The post-mortem report affirmed that she was suffering from brain tumor which ruptured to cause interior bleeding and eventually killed her.”
Her mother was not aware about her disease and her father had abandoned the family long back. She was studying at Indus International School, which runs a community schooling program, which educates underprivileged children like Vyshali and gives free education alongside hostel facility.
A case of unnatural death has been enrolled by the Sarjapur police and further examination is on.
