Mangaluru: A 28-year-old man was arrested by the police for harassing and trying to kill a woman whom he met online.
The accused is Shivaraj Kulal, a resident of Bantwal’s Kasaba.
The woman in question had applied for divorce recently and the matter is under trial in court.
Shivaraj and the victim got to know each other through a social media platform around two years ago. They gradually fell in love but things started going out of hand when the accused started to harass the woman mentally and physically.
The victim later decided to stay away from Shivaraj. However, it did not stop there.
On May 17 Shivaraj met the woman after she logged off from her duty and tried to kill her.
Mangaluru women’s police station officials are investigating the case
