4 of family killed in house fire in UP

Siddhartnagar (UP):  A house caught fire in Lakhnapar village here, killing four members of a family and injuring another, police said today.

The thatched house of one Kalam caught fire last night from an earthen lamp, killing his wife Janab (28), daughter Rukhsaar (6), and sons – Wasim (4) and five-month-old Nasim, they said.

Kalam also received serious burns and was admitted to the district hospital, the police said, adding the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
