A person arrested for spreading malice about Uppinangady hospital

Puttur: A person was arrested by Uppinangady police for spreading unsubstantiated rumours which were derisive in nature about Dhanwantari Hospital Uppinangady through social websites. The arrest was made after the cops undertook investigation regarding the people involved in this.
The arrested is identified as Murshid Abdulla (21), residing near Kemmara mosque in Hirebandady village. The police are currently trying to identify and arrest those people who shared defamatory rumours about the hospital in social media.
Apparently, false information and news about the said hospital and its doctors were being spread through social websites since some days and the aim was to give wrong information about the hospital to the people. Later, the doctors of the hospital had complained to the police about certain groups which were sharing these news items and based on the complaint and further investigation, local police sub-inspector, Nandakumar, found out the culprit and arrested him with the assistance of cyber crime intelligence team.
