Shivamogga: Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath addressed four election rallies in Karnataka on Thursday. He brought up the controversial issues of cow slaughter and beef consumption. He criticised Revenue Minister Kagodu Thimmappa’s statement that there was no difference between the taste of beef and the meat of other animals.
Yogi Adityanath participated in four rallies at Sirsi in Uttara Kannada district, Balehonnur in Chikkamagaluru district, Sagar in Shivamogga district and Belur in Hassan district. He also visited the native cattle conservation centre at Sri Ramachandrapura Mutt in Sagar and Rambhapuri Mutt at Balehonnur.
He attacked the Congress Government in Karnataka of harbouring ‘jihadis’ and added that the Uttar Pradesh Government had always taken a strong stand against ‘jihadis’. He termed Uttar Pradesh the Land of Rama and Karnataka the Land of Hanumantha. He reminded the people of the relationship between the two states by citing the example of the connection of Gorakhnath from Uttar Pradesh with Manjunatha of Dharmasthala and Kalabhairaveshwara of Adichunchanagiri.
