After two days, rains take a break in DK

Mangaluru / Udupi: After two days of incessant rainfall, Dakshina Kannada saw a glimpse of sunshine on Friday.

Though there were showers in the morning, the sunshine shone brightly in the afternoon. Rural parts of the district reported heavy rainfall n the early morning on Friday. As the day went by the intensity of the rain receded considerably.

Heavy rains were also reported throughout the Udupi district on Friday. Rainfall in parts of Udupi, Manipal, Malpe, Hiriyadka, Karkala, Nitte, Kundapur, Brahmavara, Barkur, Haladi, Kapu, Padubidri and Byndoor.

The rains are expected to subside further on Saturday, with the IMD reducing the rain severity to a “Yellow alert” for the coastal region.

However, fishermen have been warned not to venture into the sea due to the rough weather.

 

 

 

Showers in the morning increased slightly in the afternoon, but the sun appeared in the afternoon. In the rural areas, early morning rain is less and less. The Belthangady environment has good rainfall.

21: Somewhere Alert
Somewhere along the coast there will be an alert on Saturday, with rain expected to fall further. Fishermen are advised not to land at sea.
