Karkala: “The people of Karkala must once again give me the opportunity to work with the dream of developing Karkala. In the past 5 years I am satisfied with my achievement, there is still more left to achieve and the path is clear. I have the aim to build a golden Karkala,” said Karkala BJP candidate former MLA V. Sunil Kumar. He was speaking at a public meet at Tallari in Karkala on Saturday.

“Being an MLA from the opposition I have done many development works and they have been completed. I have done the important work of making it convenient for the youth of Karkala to run business, the industrial sector at Miyari has been developed and the industrial sector within Karkala municipality limits has been revived thus giving opportunity for job creation,” he said.

“With the aim to make Karkala a tourist destination, I have sent a proposal to the central government to develop roads connecting various tourist attractions and religious centres, creation of ‘Yatri Nivas’ for the convenience of the tourist and to develop Anekere in the coming days.”

“To prevent water shortage and to increase underground water levels, record number of check dams has been created. Sigadi Lake in the heart of Karkala has been developed. Though I have done many people oriented works, I have made a strong decision to carry on with these work activity and for this I require the support of the people.”

“In Karkala, thousands of people have built houses on government land and they reside there. Already, maximum number of registration certificates under 94c and 94cc has been distributed. There still remain many families who are deprived from the registration certificate due to various reasons and there is need to provide the registration certificates to everyone in the taluk. I have the self confidence that the voters will support me for this,” he said.
