‘Akshara Dasoha’ for election staff

Udupi: In this times election, the people involved on election duty including, the officers and staff need not go hunting for food. There is no need for them to be concerned about lack of food or hygiene or the fear of problem arising from the accusation of food being given by political parties. Therefore, to prevent any inconvenience for those on duty during the election, the district administration, under the directive of the election commission will provide food, tea and snacks to those on duty through ‘Akshara Dasoha’.
The election will take place on May 12th. But the staff will arrive to the centres on May 11th for de-mustering and mustering. Facilities have been done to provide tea and biscuits on that evening, dinner in the night, breakfast the following morning (May 12th), lunch and evening tea, informed the officers.
Only ‘Akshara Dasoha’ facility
Only the utensils and kitchen help from ‘Akshara Dasoha’ programme under the education department will be allowed into the premises.
“The food will be procured by the district administration. This type of facility has been made available to prevent the staff from facing any problems with food and provide hygienic food,” informed the officers.
