Amid rising Covid cases, DK dist in-charge minister hints at extension of lockdown

Managluru: District in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary on Tuesday hinted at further extension of the lockdown in Dakshina Kannada district in view of the increasing coronavirus cases.

The district administration is mulling to extend the lockdown for a further week as people’s representatives are in favour of it, Poojary told reporters.

“A meeting in this regard will be held later today evening. The final decision will be taken after consulting chief minister tomorrow,” he said
