Bengaluru/New Delhi: BJP National President, Amit Shah lashed at the Congress-JD(S) coalition decision and said that this is the ‘murder of democracy’ instead.

Congress President, Rahul Gandhi had earlier posted on his twitter handle saying, “BJP’s irrational insistence” to form a Government despite having no numbers in Karnataka.

“This morning, while the BJP celebrates its hollow victory, India will mourn the defeat of democracy,” Rahul tweeted.

Shah responded saying, “the murder of democracy’ happens the minute a desperate Congress made an opportunist’ offer to the JD(S), not for the welfare of Karnataka but for their petty political gains. Shameful!”
