Amit Shah to visit dry zone of BJP from Friday

Bengaluru: BJP national president Amit Shah, in his next phase of election campaign will be visiting the state from March 30, will visit the “driest part” for the BJP in Karnataka – the areas of Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Mandya and Ramanagaram. The BJP, in 2013 polls, scored a zero out of 26 seats in the four areas. 

Amit Shah has a scheduled timetable during his two-day visit to these regions. On March 30, Shah will pay a visit to the Suttur Mutt in Mysuru. He will later interact with Pramoda Devi Wadiyar, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar and different individuals from the Royal family at the Mysuru Palace. He will then dine with the dalit leaders.

Later in the day, Shah will address a ST convention at the Ambedkar Stadium in Chamarajnagar. In the evening he will visit Srikanteshwara temple in Nanjangud and the Ganapathi Sachidananda Ashrama in Mysuru. 

The following day, Shah will visit the Cheluvanarayana Temple at Melkote in Mandya region, associate with the farmers in Mandya, visit the Channapatna make stop and interact with the silk producers in Ramanagaram area. 

Shah will likewise be visiting the residence of BJP activist Raju, who was hacked to death in Mysuru in 2016.
