Ballari: Checkposts have been set up across may bordering areas between Karanataka and Andhra Pradesh after many people were found crossing the border without precautions or passes.
Most of these movements are taking place on non-motorable roads.
COVID-19 cases in the neighbouring Kurnool and Anantpur districts have increased causing the district administration to set up these checkposts.
The district’s Deputy Commissioner S S Nakul has also released an order stating that anybody crossing the border or arriving from Andhra Pradesh must be reported to the district administration.
