Aranthodu: Forest watcher slips and falls into stream, dies

Aranthodu: A forest watcher attached to Kodagu’s Thodikana here died after he accidentally fell into a stream on Tuesday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Chinnappa (58).

The incident reportedly took place when the personnel of the Kodagu Forest Department had gone for a land survey. Chinappa had gone to the stream near Mavinakatte here to drink water when he accidentally slipped and fell into the water.

Sources said that his body will be recovered once the police personnel and his family members arrive at the spot.
