Arnab, Republic TV to sue Mumbai Police Commissioner for ₹200 crore

Republic Media Network and its Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami on Monday said they’re suing Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh and seeking ₹200 crore in damages over alleged damage to the reputation of Republic TV and Goswami. A channel release said that Maharashtra government and Mumbai Police admitted in court that Republic Network is not named in the TRP case FIR
Legal teams of Republic are currently in the process of filing the defamation suit against Param Bir Singh.The release states that the Mumbai Police and Maharashtra Government lawyer today in the Bombay High Court “contradicted” the Police Commissioner.
