Bantwal: Case filed against groom, few others for violating lockdown guidelines in Mehndi ceremony

Bantwal: A case has been registered with the Bantwal rural police against a groom, his father and some others for hold a Mehndi function at their house in Ammunje.
A wedding ceremony here was conducted with the Mehandi program and people dancing to a DJ’s music.
The video of a group of youth shouting and dancing at the Mehandi program had now gone viral and the incident is being investigated.
It is being alleged that more than 200 people participated in the mehndi program in violation of the lockdown guidelines.
As per the lockdown guidelines, only 50 people are allowed to gather in a wedding ceremony.
The Bantwal rural police station is investigating the issue. The station’s sub-inspector has stated that the video will be investigated and if it is found that the dancing in the video took place during the lockdown, then appropriate legal action will be taken against the violators.
