Bantwal: Man killed in lightning strike

Vittal: A man was killed due to a lightning strike at Karopady village in Bantwal taluk here on Thursday night.

The deceased, Chandappa Moolya, a resident of Sarthakodi in the village was in his house when the lightning struck him.

He suffered serious burn injuries and was immediately rushed to a hospital for treatment. He however died without responding to the treatment.

It is gathered that the house and most of the electrical pieces of equipment there have been damaged in the incident.
