Bar prank goes viral on social media

Udupi: An autorickshaw parked outside a bar displaying a picture which read ‘Free rides’ went viral on social media.

The Rachana Bar and Restaurant, situated in Ajekar here had an autorickshaw parked outside with a banner saying ‘free rides’, the same was clicked and posted on social media sites. The picture then went viral.

On this picture, few commented, “We are still living in 2018; meanwhile Ajekar is living in 2050.” While another excited user asked whether free facilities to pick up people from the bar was actually available. While others commented that all bars must follow such a policy, so that drunk driving can be stopped.

Post this, when a media channel contacted the bar owner on its claims, he clarified saying that this was a prank played by the bar workers and that such services are not yet available.
