Beltangady: Accused arrested in an attempt to outrage a girl’s modesty

Beltangady: Dharmasthala police have arrested a man who allegedly attempted to outrage the modesty of a minor girl at Nidigal of Kalmanja village on March 10.

He has been booked under POSCO.

The accused has been identified as Mohammed Irfan.

It is said that the accused got acquainted with the victim, a 10th grader via Instagram. The incident took place when the victim was traveling to her grandparent’s house at Dharmasthala in a government bus. The accused who was also on the same bus is alleged to have pulled the victim’s hand, in a bid to outrage her modesty.
