Belthangady: Man succumbs to Black Fungus

Belthangady: A man dying due to the Black Fungus disease was reported from the taluk here on Thursday.
Nonayya Poojari (55), a resident of Tannerupanta village, is the deceased.
Poojari was suffering from eye and kidney problems and was admitted to KMC, Mangaluru a few days.
He had tested positive for COVID-19 at the hospital and later the fungus was also detected in him.
Doctors, who had conducted eye surgery on him, had warned his family that he would not survive.
Then he was admitted to Wenlock Hospital where he died on May 27 without responding to treatment.
This is the first Black Fungus death in the Belthangady taluk.
