Bengaluru: Ambulance staff demands Rs 60K to carry dead body

Bengaluru: An incident was reported from Hebbal here where an ambulance staff asked Rs 60,000 from the family members of a dead man to carry his body to the crematorium.
The dead body was to be carried from Hebbal to the crematorium in Peenya.
The ambulance reportedly said that if they are not paid the amount then they will leave the body on the street.
The daughter of the dead man offered her mangalasutra to the staff but they refused and demanded cash.
It was not known whether any complaints were filed or any action taken against this act of the ambulance staff.
