Bengaluru: In a bizarre incident, an auto-rickshaw driver was catapulted into the air by a wire that had stuck under his vehicle’s tyre and thrown on a woman pedestrian.

The incident occurred on July 16, near TC Palya Junction and was captured by a CCTV camera.

The driver saw the dangling wire getting pulled under his autorickshaw’s tyre. He got out and started to pull out the wire. He probably did not notice that the wire was tightly stuck and when he pulled it out completely it struck him so hard that he was flung up in the air and over for a few metres onto the woman.

The woman was injured and was taken to a hospital by her husband who was nearby. The driver was unscathed.
