Bengaluru: The president of Welfare Trust of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) Sa Ra Govindu filed an FIR against Sandalwood actor-producer Jai Jagadish at High Grounds police station in the city.
As per sources, KFCC was working with film producers and distributors to help film artists and technicians to support and provide food kits who do not have any income due to COVID-19 lockdown.
Sa Ra Govindu and KFCC member KM Veeresh discussed with the government in this regard as well.
Responding to this Jai Jagadish had allegedly scolded Sa Ra Govindu and Veeresh and said, “Filmmakers have given food to thousands of people. don’t insult us by giving food kits.”
Audio footage of him responding to them had gone viral on social media.
Sa Ra Govindu filed a complaint on this and requested city police commissioner Bhaskar Rao to take action the same.
The police have started an investigation in this regard.
