Bengaluru: The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) on Tuesday, July 28 issued a public notification announcing free Covid-19 testing facilities across wards in the city.

BBMP Commissioner N Manjunatha Prasad in the notice informed, “As early detection of coronavirus will help us stop its spread to others, BBMP seeks your cooperation to voluntarily come forward for testing if you have any symptoms.”

“Majority of the people who get tested at early stages recover very fast,” he mentioned in the statement. He further added that citizens need not get worried about testing, encouraging people to come forward.

So far a total of 2,77,261 tests were conducted within BBMP limits since the pandemic broke out, as per Covid-19 War Room data released.
