Bengaluru Police to launch software to record details of tenants from outside State

Bengaluru: City Police Commissioner Kamal Pant on Friday said that a software to record the details of non-State and foreign tenants in the city will be launched soon.
The electronic database will help the police in tracking and preventing crimes committed by migrants and immigrants residing in the city, the Commissioner said.
House owners will have to submit details of their non-State and foreign tenants to the police station of their jurisdiction where it will be recorded into the software, he added.
