The Cyber Crime Wing of the Bengaluru City Police on Monday evening arrested a youth after his Instagram post against late actor Puneeth Rajkumar triggered outrage online.
While thousands of Puneeth’s fans were mourning his untimely demise due to a cardiac arrest on Friday, the Instagram user, identified as Ritvik in a post wrote that “…. can’t stop us” while uploading photos wherein he and his friend were seen holding a beer bottle.
The insensitive remarks hurt the feelings of Appu fans and several netizens took screenshots of the post and tagged Bengaluru City Police and city Police Commissioner Kamal Pant demanding action against the accused.
