Bharatiya Kisan Sangh’s meet at Kundapura on Dec. 14

Udupi: ‘Bharatiya Kisan Sangh’, an RSS-affiliated farmers organisation will convene district-level farmers meet at the Vyasaraja Kalamandira in Kundapura on December 14.
The event will be inaugurated by M N Rajendra Kumar, president of SCDCC Bank. Sangh president I N Basavegowda will preside over the event and Raviraj Hegde, president of DKMUL, will be the chief guest, said Navenchandra Shetty, Sangh’s Udupi district president.
Papers will also be presented at the convention, such as
“The Pasteurization of Coconut and its Value Addition”
by Dr. K B Hebbar, senior scientist in Central Plantation Crops Research Institute; “The Future of Organic Farmer” by Mr. Anand, Sangh’s state president; “The Need for Mechanisation and Scientific Farming” by Prakashchandra Shetty, president of Kambadakone Raitha Seva Sahakari Sangha and “The Survival of the Biodiversity in Western Ghats” by ecology expert M Dinesh Nayak.
A footfall of at least 1000 farmers is expected, Shetty added.
