Bhatkal: Decaying body of unidentified woman found; Murder suspected

Bhatkal: A decaying body of an unidentified woman was found at the Talan Gudda here on Tuesday.
The woman’s age may be between 35 and 40, police sources said.
According to sources, police suspect the woman might have died 3 to 4 days ago. The circumstances behind the death seem suspicious and police are treating it as a murder case, sources added.
The probe is on to verify whether the woman was sexually assaulted or she was killed elsewhere before being dumped at the spot.
Meanwhile, DySP K U Belliyappa, Rural Circle Inspector Mahabaleshwar Naik visited the crime scene. Bhatkal Rural police have taken up the investigation.
