Bengaluru: The BJP might very well form a government of its own in Karnataka as it is just one seat short of a majority. Since the results so far give the lead to both the Congress and the BJP, it might be a tough finish.
In Dharwad constituency, BJP is leading by 7185 votes with Amrut Desai at the forfront. On the other hand, P.T. Parmeshwar Naik of Congress is leading in Hadagali Ballari district by 11,595 votes and U.T. Khader is leading in Mangaluru by 18,426 votes.
In Bengaluru, Malleshwaram has a BJP lead with C.N. Ashwath Narayan securing 13,712 votes. Pulakeshinagar has Congress in the lead with Akhanda Sreenivasamurthy with a margin of 5,981 votes. BJP candidate S. Raghu is leading in C.V. Raman Nagar with 9,824 votes. The JD(S) has emerged victorious in Bangalore Rural with the party leading in three constituencies.
