BJP worker Santhosh’s murder: Police arrest four accused

Bengaluru: Two men were arrested on Thursday on account of the murder of BJP worker Santhosh on Wednesday night at Chinnappa Garden in JC Nagar police limits.
The victim, Santhosh (28) was an auto rickshaw driver, and his father runs a bakery in the neighbourhood. He was returning home after attending a birthday party on Wednesday night when four men attacked him and stabbed him with a screw driver. Santhosh was taken to the hospital but succumbed to injuries.
The case was handed over to Central Crime Branch (CCB) after demands for independent probe. The investigation so far has revealed the prime accused, Wasim. Waim is the son of block Congress president Khader.
Apart from Wasim, the police have arrested three other accused- Phillips, a gym trainer, Umar, a tile worker and Irfan, a tailor.
The sources revealed that four months ago Santhosh and Wasim had clashes over personal issues. The clashes gained communal and political attention. Santhosh’s family alleged that the two weeks ago Santhosh and Wasim had a fight over flex banners which was put up in their neighbourhood for Vivekananda Jayanthi and the fight led to series of event which resulted in the murder.
