Bengaluru: A 42-year-old school teacher, a resident of Srinagar locality has accused her landlord of gifting her lingerie on her birthday and seeking sexual favours. A case in this regard has been filed with Hanumanthanagar police.
The complainant has been living in the rented premises for the past 12 years. The woman says she was shocked to find that landlord Padmanabha had gifted her lingerie on her birthday. Later he began asking her to go out with him and sought sexual favours over the phone.
Since the woman ignored his advances, Padmanabha allegedly started asking her to vacate the house.
Further she alleged that he once jumped the gate and locked her from outside when she was sleeping inside.
The police have booked the accused under IPC sections 441 (criminal trespass), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and 354 (a)(1)(ii) for demanding sexual favours.
The police questioned the landlord who has denied the accusations and alleged that since he asked her to vacate the house, a false complaint had been lodged against him.
Further investigation is on.
