B’luru: College student crushed under wheels of mobile crane

Mahadevapura: In a tragic incident, a college student lost her life after being crushed under the wheels of a mobile crane near Kannamangala Gate here.

The victim, identified as 19-year-old BCom student Noor Fiza, was walking home from the Kannamangala bus stand when the tragedy struck. The reckless driving of the crane operator is blamed for the accident.

The whole incident was caught on CCTV cameras. The footage shows Noor walking on the side of the road when an oncoming mobile crane knocks her down and runs over her.

Though she was rushed to a private hospital, Noor died due to the severe injuries sustained during the mishap.

Meanwhile, police have taken the driver of the mobile crane into custody and confiscated the vehicle.

The accident spot falls under the jurisdiction of the Whitefield Traffic Police Station.
