Bengaluru: India is a land of diverse traditions one among them being offering prayers for rains. This year-round the delay in the onset of rains and the intense summer heat has just added to people woes and the government is now seeking divine intervention and has even directed temples to perform poojas for a better monsoon.
A similar pooja performed at Someshwara temple, located in Bengaluru’s Halasuru area has become an internet sensation overnight and Twitterati can all but stop commenting on it.
Pictures of the pooja rituals, which is being shared on the internet, shows two priests sitting inside water-filled vessels and surfing on their smartphones. while few presumed that they were looking up mantras others felt they could well be playing PUBG.
They should have a book to read mantras. This is not the way.
