Bondel wall collapse: Woman succumbs to injury, child out of danger

Mangaluru: A migrant labourer who was in critical condition after a retaining wall collapsed at Krishnanagar in Bondel succumbed to the injury.

The deceased is Thimmakka (42) of Andhra Pradesh origin.

Thimmakka was undergoing treatment at the hospital here after she was injured after the retaining wall collapsed at Krishnanagarc were rescued.

The incident took place while Thimmakka was working at the lower level of the wall digging work that is being carried out to install pipelines under the Jalasiri project of the city corporation.

Thimmakka and a child were rescued from the debris and rushed to the hospital. The child is out of danger.

A case has been registered against the contractor of the project.
