Brutal murder of man: Minor daughter, her friends taken into custody

Bengaluru: In a shocking twist to the brutal murder of a 46-year-old man, Yelahanka Newtown police have arrested the deceased’s daughter for her involvement in the murder.

Deepak Kumar Singh was hacked to death in front of two of his daughters at his residence in Bengaluru on Monday.

Police investigating the case have now arrested his elder daughter and three of her friends in the case. Police said that Deepak used to sexually harass his daughter for quite some time and the victim confided about her ordeal with her mother and college friends.

On the day of the incident, an inebriated Deepak allegedly tried to sexually assault the girl and she reportedly called her friend for help. Her friend, who came with four others, attacked Deepak and killed him, police sources said.

Police are looking for another accused. Further investigation is on.
