BSY announces Rs 10 lac compensation to kin of police firing victim

Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Sunday announced Rs 10 lakh compensation to kin of the deceased in the police firing on Thursday, December 19 in Mangaluru.
Addressing presspersons with this regard Yediyurappa urged the people p the state not to panic and assured that the government is committed to the welfare of the minorities.
Meanwhile, Home minister Basavaraj Bommai informed that the normalcy has returned to the state and that people are going about their daily lives.
Jaleel (49) and Nausheen (23), died on Thursday when police began firing at the protesters after violent clashes broke out between the police and the protesting public.
