Bengaluru: Not long after Chief Minister Siddarmaiah took a dig at State BJP Chief B S Yeddyurappa calling his slum visits as a ‘politics gimmick’, the later countered pointedly expressing that he doesn’t require Siddaramaiah’s dad’s permission to visit slums.
“As a Chief Minister, he never went to a slum and nor had meal with them. That is why now he can’t endure what BJP is doing. The public will understand us and choose what to do. My aim isn’t to save the slums with this visit, but I guarantee them that if we come into power we will take care of their issues and solve their problems,” he added.
In the mean time, BS Yeddyurappa came down deeply against the Chief Minister for disfiguring the outline of the state in ‘#Nanna Karnataka’ discharged by the Congress. “Karnataka outline, the flag might be an issue of elections for you. But I have most extreme commitment and devotion towards them. This is as unforgivable as mangling with the flag of the state,” he said in a Tweeted.
