BSY is neglecting flood relief: Siddu

Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah accused CM Yediyurappa of neglecting the flood relief and prioritising transfers of officials.
Addressing presspersomd he said, ”All we know is the Yediyurappa received Modi when he landed here. I don’t know what the Modi government’s priority is.”
“The government has estimated losses due to floods as Rs 38,000 crore. According to me, it is Rs 1 lakh crore,” he added.
n the recent floods, 103 taluks in 22 districts were hit by floods destroying agriculture and horticulture crops in about 7.5 lakh hectares and damaging over 75,300 houses.
A total of 88 people had died. Meanwhile, an inter-ministerial central team is visiting the state for four days beginning on Saturday to assess the damage caused by the deluge.
