BSY orders CID probe into Mangaluru police firing case

Bengaluru/Mangaluru: Days after two persons were killed in police firing after protests against CAA took a violent turn in the city, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Monday ordered a Crime Investigation Department (CID) probe with this regard.

Addressing pressperson in Bengaluru, Yediyurappa said, “We have decided to order a CID probe into the Mangaluru police firing case and the investigation with this regard will begin soon.”

It may be recalled that Yediyurappa on Saturday, December 20 met family members of the two persons, Jaleel (49) and Nausheen (23), who were killed in police firing on Thursday, December 19 and assured to take a decision on initiating an inquiry into the police firing incident after meeting with top officials.
