
Bus turns turtle; several injured

Padubidri: An express bus which was plying from Udupi to Mangaluru on NH 66 overturned near a bridge at Hejamady toll plaza and fell into a drain here.
The mishap occurred when the driver tried to overtake another bus.
It has been alleged that the bus driver lost control over the vehicle when he tried to avert collision with a lorry which had developed technical snag and was parked on the roadside.
Over five passengers have been injured and are admitted to a private hospital at Mukka.
Padubidri police have registered a case.
