Kalaburagi: BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel on Saturday said that the decision on cabinet expansion will be taken in the next few days.

As four ministerial berths are vacant, he said regions left unrepresented will get priority. He assured that Kalaburgi will get cabinet representation.

Nalin said, ” The new cabinet will be selected balancing all factors, including regional and social representation. However, it must be noted that it is impossible to allot ministerial berths to all the aspirants.”

Talking about the long-delayed Hubballi-Dharwad, Belagavi and Kalaburagi city corporations polls, Kateel said, ”  The polls will be held on September 3 and results will be declared on September 6. BJP will mark its presence in all three corporations. A meeting has also been held to finalize the list of candidates.”

“When Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the Prime Minister, the four-lane national highways were built and posters of Vajpayee were put up on the highway. But, when the UPA government took charge, they removed all the posters. Similarly, the Atal bus services were introduced by the BJP government in the state, and during the Siddaramaiah government, the bus services were canceled. BJP did not react at that time. Now, there are only discussions of changing the name of Indira canteen, nobody has even discussed of closing it,” Kateel opined.
