Bengaluru: The Cabinet reshuffle that is scheduled to take place later today evening will likely see induction of four MPs from Karnataka.
Sources stated that Rajya Sabha MP Rajeev Chandrashekhar, Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje, Chitradurga MP A Narayanaswamy and Bidar MP Bhagawanth Khubha are among the ministerial probables.
While Chandrashekhar, Shobha and Narayanaswamy attended the meeting of newly to be inducted ministers convened by the Prime Minister in the morning, Khubha received a call from the Prime Minister Office today and has left for Delhi from Hyderabad, they added.
This is the first time in recent days when Karnataka will get maximum representation in the Union Cabinet.
This will be the first reshuffle in his Council of Ministers by Modi since he assumed charge for a second term in May 2019.
The prime minister is expected to bring in young faces and give representation to various social groups and regions in the reshuffle.
