Bengaluru: The High Court on Tuesday dismissed a petition filed by the father of the woman seen in the sex video with MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi.
The woman’s father had filed a petition before the case’s trial court judge stating that the woman’s statement filed under CRPC 164 was against the rule and should be cancelled.
The woman’s lawyer argued that she has already made a statement before the court and has also filed a habeas corpus petition. Hence, her statement under the CrPC 164 was not questionable.
The single-judge bench of Justice S Vishwajit Shetty then dismissed the petition.
