Central govt to retire corrupt and lazy officers

Central government has decided to forcibly retire corrupt and non performing employees. The government intends to compulsorily retire employees who are above 50 by invoking Fundamental Rules 56 (J) and Rule 48 of Central Civil Service (CCS) Rules 1972
Government has also formed a special team to look into the issue but due to the Covid-19 the process of retiring employees has been delayed.
According to the rule, those who have finished more than 30 years of service and are above the age of 50 must retire from their post.
