Chain snatching incidents: M’luru CCB police arrest three, seize Rs 5L worth stolen valuables

CCB police arrested three persons involved in theft incidents in the city and seized stolen items valuing around Rs 5 lakh from their possession.

The arrested persons are identified as Jagadish Shetty (39), Sujit Shetty (40) and Suresh Rai (39). According to police, Sujit was also an accused in the sensational triple murder case that took place in Mangaluru in 2002.

Three separate incidents of chain snatching had been reported from Kadri Alvares Road, Kulshekar Everest Plastic factory road, and at Rajeevnagar of Shaktinagar. The trio was arrested when they tried to sell the stolen gold in the city.
