Chamarajanagar: In dramatic video, elephant charges at safari jeep; drivers’ presence of mind saves tourists

Chamarajanagar: In an incident at K Gudi in Biliranganathaswamy Tiger Reserve, the driver’s presence of mind saved the tourists after an elephant suddenly charged at a safari vehicle on Monday, March 15.
The video of the same is going viral on the internet.
The video shows a group of elephants standing next to the forest road, while the vehicle is moving. Suddenly one of the elephants’ charged at the Safari jeep. As driver Nagaraj speeds up the jeep, another elephant appears in front of the vehicle.
In that terrifying moment, the driver kept his cool, and accelerated the vehicle, following which the elephant ran faster and moved away from the road.
One of the tourists who recorded the video has shared it online, which is making rounds on the internet.
