Charmadi: Landslide disrupts traffic amid continuous rain

Team Udayavani, Oct 10, 2024, 8:16 PM IST

For the past two days, Charmadi has been experiencing incessant rainfall, resulting in a landslide at the third turn of the Charmadi Ghats, causing significant disruption to vehicular traffic. Currently, excavation work using JCB machines is underway to clear the debris.

Due to heavy rainfall in and around Moodigere, large potholes have formed on the roads as rainwater has accumulated. Authorities have deployed a team to the site to fill in these potholes with soil.

Additionally, clearance operations for mud on the highways are ongoing. Officials are advising motorists to exercise caution while navigating through the affected areas.
