In a firm declaration on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah assured the public that guarantee schemes will continue unabated. Addressing the crowd after hoisting the flag at Manekshaw Parade Ground, the CM dismissed predictions that these schemes would bankrupt the government.

He emphasized that, instead of halting the guarantee schemes, the government will take further steps to enhance their impact. Specifically, beneficiaries of the Gruhalakshmi scheme will be organized into self-help groups to receive additional financial support.

Highlighting the state’s responsibility to implement welfare programs, the Chief Minister criticized the central government for shirking its duty to provide necessary resources in recent years.
